All about me! Xox

Hey girls,
Hope you are all enjoying your week? This weeks blogpost is going to be something a little different! This post is going to be a bit different compared to my usual makeup and fashion posts ;) If you haven't already guessed by the title of this post, this weeks post is going to be all about myself! When you are reading someone's blog every week I think it is so important you actually know a bit about that person! When I started my blog I made the decision to give up a part of my personal life to talk to you all about the things I love, so as a blogger it is important for me to share some of my personal life with you all! So here goes :) !.....

 My name is Kayleigh Baxter. I'm 16 ,soon to be 17 (Roll on next Monday ;)! ). I'm living in Cork in Ireland. If you haven't already guessed I am obsessed with Makeup and Fashion! :p I started my blog in April and I cannot believe the support I have had from people since! I honestly expected to get mocked a lot  over it and for a lot of people to laugh when they heard about my blog but I can honestly say I have not experienced any of that! I know i keep saying it but i am so thankful for the support i have received! :) I have people coming up to me all the time saying that they have bought products I recommended in blogposts or just with something nice to say about my blog. As cheesey as it sounds, Nothing makes me happier than hearing people say things like that! Sometimes it can literally feel like you are talking to yourself on here but when people come up to you , i instantly remember why I ever started my blog!

Starting my blog was probably the most random decision I have ever made! I remember lying in bed one night and the idea just popped into my head! Lets just say about 5 minutes later The Teen Barbie was created ;) It was so crazy but that's just who I am! My friends tell me all the time that I am just so crazy and I'm not afraid to try anything! I decided to call my blog 'The Teen Barbie' because I remember last summer I started watching Beauty gurus on YouTube and the very first beauty guru I ever discovered was 'Macbarbie07'. She inspired me so much! She basically made me fall in love with makeup. Without her, I would have never discovered makeup!

 I am currently going into 5th year in school! When I am finished school, I want to study Beauty therapy in college. I am looking into a lot of colleges at the moment but I am hoping maybe to attend The Cork College of Beauty Therapy in Cork City. I went here on my work experience and absolutely love it! I never thought I could learn so much in a week. It was amazing and I was honestly so upset when the week was over! I don't want to study any other course in college. The thought of working as a beauty therapist every day of the week and getting paid is just like a dream for me!

 I am honestly the least sportiest person you will ever meet! Makeup is basically my hobby! I spend all my money on makeup and basically nothing else :p! I just love doing other people's makeup as well as my own! I have just received a lot of different makeup palettes for doing other people's makeup off my parents for my birthday next week so I cannot wait to include these into some of my blogposts ;)

When I am writing my blogposts I make sure that all the tips and recommendations are my own! I absolutely hate the idea of copying other Beauty gurus or bloggers! Everyone has completely different opinions and ways of doing things so I don't see the point in copying other Beauty gurus or bloggers. A lot of people have tried to tell me over the past year not to use certain products but I ended up using them anyways and some of those products have ended up being my favourite makeup products. Nobody will ever become a makeup expert! Everyone has completely different skin, a completely different body and completely different opinions! My point is to try out everything for yourself and judge how it looks on you!
                       
I have completely babbled on in this blogpost so I'm just going to write down 50 random facts about myself so you can learn a bit more about me! :)

1. My favourite makeup brand is M.A.C.
2. I hate probably every single sport out there!
3. I am addicted to Ice Pops.
4. My favourite place in the world is Los Angeles!
5. I hate rice and noodles. I rarely ever eat them!
6. Everything in my room is either pink, white or black.
7. My favourite blogger is Zoella.
8. I treat my dog like a child.
9. I hate people at my hair!
10. I live in an estate.
11. I love big, fluffy cardigans!
12. I rarely wear track suits.
13. I work as a waitress in a local restaurant.
14. I am obsessed with anything that smells of roses.
15. I used to be really shy up until last summer.
16. My favourite midnight snack is toast and hot chocolate.
17. I am addicted to gossip girl. I have spent my whole summer watching it!
18. I love watching series rather than movies.
19. I think Lauren Conrad has the best style out there.
20. I hate watching Big Brother. It is the most boring show!
21. I love cooking.
22. My friends mean the world to me and I would do anything for them!
23. My favourite Makeup Product would either be lip products or blushers.
24. It takes me about 30 minutes to pick out my outfit in the morning.
25. I am so bad for replying to people when they text me.
26. I am very adventurous when it comes to cooking.
27. I hate people telling me what to do or how to live my life.
28. I spend my life on YouTube.
29. My favourite clothes shop is the teenage section in Zara.
30. My favourite subject in school is Home.ec.
31. I find everything that happened with 9/11 so interesting.
32. I was so close to my grandad before he died last year.
33. My favourite singer is Katy Perry.
34. I love to sing and act.
35. I would love to be in a pantomime some day.
36. Saturday is my favourite day of the week.
37. Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I get way too excited!
38. I hate green grapes.
39. I love going out with my friends.
40. Me and my family are always having parties in our house.
41. I get scared so easily.
42. I dye my hair all the time.
43. I cut my hair up to my jaw line last may.
44. I get so stressed over exams.
45. 13 is my unlucky number.
46. I love an excuse to dress up.
47. I am always overdressed wherever I go.
48. I get overly excited for the littlest things.
49. My hair really annoys me.
50. I wear barley any makeup to school.

July Favourites <3

Hey girls,
I hope you are all keeping well? I am so sorry for the delay with my monthly favourites this month. I was working a lot over the past 2 weeks and I just didn't have the time to write this post. I cannot believe it is August already!! I know I probably say this in every one of my monthly favourites but August really has just crept up on us! This month the Maybelline Baby Lips came out in Ireland. Only makeup fanatics who spend their lives watching Beauty Gurus on YouTube will really understand the excitement when it comes to the Maybelline Baby Lips. I have waited a year for these to come out in Ireland and they were so worth the wait. They are amazing!! They will defiantly be in next months favourites ;)

My first favourite this month is the 'L'Occitane En Provence Hydration Cream'. I received this in a glossybox a few months ago. After a few weeks of using this cream, I fell in love with it! I have sensitive skin so alot of moisturizers can really sting my skin but this one is so natural. My Birthday is this month so i am defiantly going to purchase the full size of this product out of my birthday money.

My second favourite for this month is the 'Bourjois Queen Attitude Kohl Kajal Eyeliner'. This is a kohl eyeliner so it is safe to use this on your top lid or in the water line. This product is completely different to any other eyeliner i have seen. It is so easy to apply and great for creating a smokey eye!

Usually when i am choosing beauty products for my monthly favourites, I make sure that i have used them enough throughout the month to be 100% sure i like it. I only started using this blush about 2 weeks ago but i knew i loved it just after my first time using it! Its a gorgeous bronzey pink colour so it is perfect for contouring. This MaxFactor blush is in the shade 'no. 223 Natural Glow'

My last favourite for this month is the 'Vichy Dermablend corrective foundation stick'. I heard some great reviews about this product so i decided to go out and buy it! I use this product as a concealer and it is probably one of the best concealers i have ever tried. It is a good coverage concealer but yet it does not come out cakey on your face.
