Review - LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencil!

Hey girls,
Hope you are all keeping well? I decided to do a quick review in today's blog post seeing as it has been a while since I have done one. I recently purchased the 'LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils' on ikatehouse and I have fallen in love with them.

I recently just started a collection of eyeshadow pencils so when I saw these on ikatehouse I knew I had to buy them! These cost $1.49 which is amazing value for the quality of these!

It is safe to say they are the best eyeshadow pencils I have ever tried! These were highly recommended by glitteralittle on YouTube so I couldn't wait to get my hands on them as I trust her opinion on everything. They literally just glide onto your lid. They can be very easily blended for a more natural finish. The only problem I have at the moment with these pencils is that they are running out quite easily. I'm not sure if there is a way to roll up more product from the top.. I haven't quite figured that out yet! ;)

I did purchase quite a few different shades of these as I am trying to build up an eyeshadow pencil collection like I said.  I am constantly reaching out for these when I am doing my eyeshadow. If you are not very experienced with applying eyeshadow, these are the perfect product for you! Even just as an eyeliner on your water line, under your bottom lash line or on your top lid, it will create a beautiful eye look. I love using these under my bottom lash line to make my eyes look much more awake.

There is an amazing range of colours for these so you certainly won't be stuck for choice. I have worn these nearly every day since I got them and I am constanly getting compliments on them since! I would definatly recommend purchasing these if you are on the hunt for products to change around your eyeshadow looks.

I will definatly have some makeup tutorials coming up soon using these products so make sure to watch out on my blog for it! :) Talk to you all in my next post!

October favourites <3

Hey girls,
Hope you are all having a good start to the week? I had no time to put up my October favourites last night as I spent the night out with some of my aunties and cousins at the greyhound track so I apologise for the delay with this post!

My first favourite this month is the maybelline baby lips in the shade 'pink punch'. I have only really gotten into lip balms recently and let me just say these are my absolute newest obsession. I love all the different shades of the baby lips but 'pink punch' is definatly my favourite at the moment. These are just so handy for work and school or to just keep in my bag when I'm out! :)

I have really been loving this Lush skin tint this month. I use this as a highlighter around my eyes and on my browbone. My skin has been looking really dull and unhealthy over the past few weeks so I've been trying a lot of products to make it more healthy looking. This is a great, cheaper alternative for the Benefit high beam!

A couple of weeks ago I decided to purchase a few of the real techniques brushes to try them out. These brushes are so well known for being amazing so I don't know why I have waited this long to try them! I have become absolutely obsessed with the Expert face brush! I use it to apply my foundation and it goes on so easily and evenly. I love this brush it is definatly one of my favourite real techniques brushes at the moment!

Like I said, My skin has been really dull and unhealthy looking the past few weeks so I am trying to make it look much healthier! I love applying M.A.C's strobe cream under my foundation. This cream is basically just a highlighted moisterizer that will make your face look much more glowy! It can also be used as a highlighter over foundation which works beautifully aswell. I just absolutely adore how healthy this product makes my face look!

My favourite foundation ever is the Diorskin forever foundation. I absolutly love this stuff! It is a completely matte foundation so it shows up really well in photos. This is an expensive foundation but it is definatly worth the money. This is an amazing product! I highly recommend this!

My last favourite for this month is the maybelline instant anti-age eraser eye concealer. I apply this under my eyes after I have applied my foundation as a highlighter and it looks amazing. This is in the shade 'light'. Whenever I am buying an under eye concealer I always make sure to buy one or two shades lighter so that it can act as a highlight under my eyes. My only complaint about this product is that it is running out quite quickly and it does cost €11.99 so it's expensive to be repurchasing this every couple of weeks.

That is it for all my favourites this month. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and make sure to keep an eye out for my next one :)

Huge winter makeup haul - Part 2!

Hey girls,
Hope you are having a good week! It's finally the weekend so I can't wait to just relax.  Two weeks ago I ordered some makeup online from ikatehouse. It arrived last Friday and I took this past week to try some of it out and review some of the products for all of you! These products are all so amazing! I was so impressed with ikatehouse and I will definatly be purchasing from them again! :)

I purchased a few new blushes as I needed new wintery coloured blushes. This is the L.A Colors mineral blush in the shade Plum. It costs $2.99. These colours are all so beautiful and really pigmented! They do not stay on as good as other blushes I have tried but I have only been using them for a week so far. I will keep you guys updated on what I think of these blushes :)

I saw 'glitteralittle' on YouTube using this bronzer and it looked so beautiful on her. I knew I had to buy it ;) This is the L.A colors blush in the shade sun kissed. I don't know how this could be a blush as it is such a dark brown colour! This is showing up so much lighter on camera, alot of the blushes actually did, but it is the perfect colour for a bronzer. This cost $2.99!

This L.A girl blush in the shade Spice.  This is a peachy coloured blush! It's not completely a wintery blush but it is suitable for everyday wear and peachy coloured blushes are my absolute favourite so I decided to buy it! This blush costs $2.99.

This is the L.A girl blush in the shade shimmer mocha. This is a really beautiful mauve colour! This blush is perfect for winter. It costs $2.99

I have wanted these plastic spatulas for so long and I could never find them anywhere. The minute I saw these they were straight into the basket ;) I always need these for when I am doing makeup on other people and need to scoop the product onto the back of my hand. These will also be great when I am mixing foundations. These spatulas cost $1.99 which is amazing value for these!

Wintery lipsticks are an absolute must of mine! I love wearing dark lipsticks with neutral smokey eyes in the winter! This is the L.A girl lipstick in the shade Blushberry. These lipsticks are so pigmented and are long-lasting. They do not tase the best so a fruity lip balm under these are certainly a must! These lipsticks cost $1.99.

I also bought this L.A girl lipstick in the shade Cinnamon. This is a gorgeous winey coloured lipstick! Again, this cost $1.99

This is the last lipstick I bought from ikatehouse. This colour is a brighter colour than I thought. I probably won't use this till winter is over unless I mix it with another lipstick. This lipstick cost $ 1.49

I have really got into lip liners over the past few months so I am trying to build a collection of them. I picked up this really gorgeous NK lip pencil in the shade Sienna. I can't wait to wear this with a really nude lipstick or mauvey coloured lipstick. This cost $1.

Eye shadows are the main thing I bought off ikatehouse. I am really trying to expand my eyeshadow collection at the moment and start using more colourful eyeshadows! These NYX roll on shimmer are absolutely amazing! They can be used on the face, eyes and body. I love how easily these glide onto your lids. These cost $3.99. I got these in the shades salmon, mauve pink and taupe. I definatly will re-purchase more of these! :)

These are the L.A color eye colors jumbo eye pencils! I purchased quite a few of these as glitteralittle had such good reviews on them so the next few pictures will be of these eye pencils. These are absolutely amazing and so easy to blend. I work these into my crease and smoke the colour out or I use these as an eyeliner on my top and bottom lid. There is so many different ways to apply this product! I am in love with these at the moment. These ones are in the shade pretty in pink, sea shells and spring! They cost $1.49 each.

These are in the shade iridescent light, vacation and desert sun!

These are in the shade relaxation and sun kissed!

I decided to pick up one NYX jumbo eye pencil in the shade rust as I have always wanted to try these. These cost $3.99. I much prefer the L.A Colors jumbo eye pencils to these. The L.A color ones are cheaper and exactly to same!

The last item I purchased from ikatehouse was this Elf foundation brush. I was in bad need of a new foundation brush so I decided to pick up this one. I used it today to just even out my foundation and I loved it so I cannot wait to apply all of my foundation with this. This cost me $1.29

That is it for all my winter makeup purchases over the last couple of weeks. I hope to do a winter makeup tutorial with these products in a blogpost soon. Make sure to check out the ikatehouse website for some amazing makeup deals! I will be uploading my October favourites tomorrow so make sure to check it out! :)

Huge winter makeup haul - Part 1!

Hey girls,
Hope you are all having a good week? It is absolutely freezing at the moment so what better day to be curled up in bed blogging! :) This weather is really making it feel so christmasy..my absolute favourite time of the year! :D I have been buying so much makeup lately to get prepared for winter! Most of the products I bought are from boots. They have some amazing deals on makeup at the moment so you guys should check them out and restock on a few items! I had kept my receipt to share all the prices with you but of course I lost it! So it's just going to be a rough estimate! :p I have more makeup on the way that I ordered online so I will do a second part to this haul when that arrives! Now let's get started :)...

I am constantly buying foundations! I love using different foundations every day so your makeup will always look somewhat different :) I had been eyeing up the 'Loreal True Match' foundations for quite some time and I finally decided to try it out! I got one in the shade 'ivory' ,which is my usual shade, and I got another one in the shade 'golden ivory' for going out. I wouldn't say these foundations are my absolute favourite but I have only tried them out once so far! I paid about €16 for each of these foundations. I also got my bestfriend to get me the 'MUA illuminating foundation' in England while she was there 2 weeks ago! I have wanted this foundation for so long and it cannot be bought here in Ireland! I have yet to try this out :) This foundation is about £3 in Superdrug.

Lip balms have never really been my thing and boots were having a '3 for 2' deal on all lip balms so I decided to pick up a few while I was in there. I have now a complete obsession with lip balms! I am constantly re-applying them throughout the day. I got the 'Vaseline rosy lips' , 'Vaseline paint the town' , the Nivea lip butter in the shade 'raspberry rose' and the raspberry Balmi lip balm! I much prefer the Balmi lip balms to the EOS! I find the EOS is a much thicker consistency and a lot harder to spread onto my lips. I am absolutely obsessed with applying the Nivea lip butter under my Lipstick. The flavour is amazing! I definatly need to purchase more flavours of these! All these lip balms were around €2-3 :)

A person can never have too many eyeshadows in my book! ;) I picked up one of the Rimmel quads , which I love, in the shade 'Sun Safari'. There is really beautiful colours in this palette and it is perfect for beginners! This palette costs around €7. I was in a chemist the other day and I saw these gorgeous eyeshadows by Essence. I got a golden coloured one in the shade ' Skeye and sand' and a silver-brown coloured one in the shade 'party all night'. These eyeshadows were around €3 each.

I also decided to pick up a few of the '17 eyes' eyeshadows while I was in boots. I love these eyeshadows! They are so pigmented and tend to just glide on your eyes. Two of them cracked on me this time, which never happened before , but I probably must have hit them off something in the boots bag. I got these in the shade 'Walnut Pearl' , 'Rose Quartz' and 'Funfair' which is the most gorgeous eyeshadow colour I have ever seen! :) all these eyeshadows were around €5 each!

I really needed new winter lipsticks this year! A lot of my lipsticks are very summery. I got this Loreal lipstick/ gloss in the shade ' 101'. This product cost about €10. I also got the 'Collection Cream Puffs' in the shade 'Fairy Cake' , 'Cotton Candy' and 'Angel Delight'! I have been loving the shade 'Angel Delight'! It is the perfect Mauve colour and I have been getting so many compliments on it! These cost around €4.49 each!

I wanted some new mascaras as a lot of mine are running low and drying out. I got the 'Maybelline Rocket mascara' which is my favourite mascara ever! This is about €12. I also got the 'Maybelline Great Lash mascara' in the shade 'Blackest Black'. This is about €11. I thought this will be really nice for going out as it is super pigmented! The last mascara I got was the 'Collection 5 in 1 mascara'. This is new out as far as I know! This mascara looked really interesting to me so I decided to buy it. It costs around €7.

Both of these blushes are from England! My best friend got them for me while she was there so I have no idea on prices for these. The first one is a Rimmel blush in the shade 'Live Pink' and the second one is the Sleek blush in the shade 'Rose Gold'! I was so excited to get this as you cannot get Sleek here in Ireland! This is a super gorgeous colour and it's really illuminating on the cheeks! Unfortunately it did crack on her flight home but it's still perfect to use!

I am obsessed with under-eye concealers. I love how awake they make you look. I have so many different ones in my makeup collection at this stage. I got the 'Collection lasting perfection concealer' in the shade 'Fair'. This concealer was about €6. I also got the 'Maybelline Eraser eye concealer' in the shade 'Light'. This concealer was about €12.

The very last thing I bought in boots was 'The Soap and Glory Hand Food'. I am obsessed with hand sanitisers. I always have to keep one in my bag! The smell of this is absolutely amazing and I am constantly using it throughout the day! I can't get over how long-lasting the smell of this is. Definatly a new fav of mine! I went for the bigger bottle of this which was around €6

I hope you enjoyed reading this post! I will have the second part of this up hopefully next week depending on when my items get delivered! :) Talk to you all in my next post!

September Favourites! <3

Hey girls,
Hope you are all having a good week? Once again, I am so late with my beauty favourites this month but I'd rather it be done late than not at all :) I had a major splurge in boots yesterday so I hopefully will have loads of great new products to come your way soon!

My first favourite for this month is the 'Boots natural hold hairspray'.  This is definitely the best hairspray I have ever tried and it is super cheap! It only costs like €1.70 or something crazy like that. I absolutely hate hairsprays that make your hair all crispy and wet looking. It makes your hair look so  false! I was never a fan of hairsprays or used them often because of that! When I saw this hairspray I was dying to try it out and it has now become something I can't live without. It gives a strong hold and nobody will ever know you used hairspray. I am just after re-purchasing my second bottle of this! :)

My next favourite for this month is the 'Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick' in the shade '03'. I have been looking for a nice pink-nude lipstick for a couple of weeks and I saw Anna Saccone talk about this in one of her videos. When I saw it in the Pharmacy it looked like the exact colour I had been looking for so I bought it. This lipstick is around €6.49 and it's perfect for everyday wear!

I have been loving this 'Chanel Natural Finish Loose Powder' this month. I use this to set my foundation and it works perfectly. This powder is quite expensive so I wouldn't be purchasing it too often but it is quite a big tub so I do think it will last me a few months. I'm not certain on the price because I bought this abroad but it's around €40 I think.

My next favourite for this month is this Rimmel blush in the shade 'Santa Rose'. This is the most gorgeous blush I have ever used! I bought this for my friend as a present a few years ago and it always looks so pretty on her so I decided to try some at her house a few weeks ago. I went straight out and bought it that day I loved it so much and I haven't stopped wearing it since! This is probably one of my favourite makeup products I own at the moment which is a lot coming from me ;)

My last favourite this month is my 'Mac Studio Fix Powder'. This is the first Mac powder I ever owned. It costs around €35. I got this when I was 12 and I have been using it ever since! I always go back to this powder! It blends your makeup together perfectly! This would be an essential makeup powder of mine in my makeup routine!

That's it for all my favourites this month! I hope you all enjoyed reading this post! If any of you would like to get in contact with me you can contact me through any of my pages! Talk to you all in my next post :)

Sedona Lace Vortex brush kit review!

Hey girls,
Hope you are all keeping well? I have decided to do a review on a set of brushes i recently purchased. I have never really owned a nice, proper set of brushes and back in august i turned 17 so as a little present to myself i decided to invest in a good set. I had been eyeing up lots of different brush sets over the last couple of weeks and in the end i went with the Sedona Lace Vortex Brush set with the brush belt. The brush belt was definitely a must for me because when i am doing makeup on people i hate having to keep on reaching for the brush i need. I can honestly say these brushes are all soo amazing! This set cost me around 85 euro including shipping. They are defiantly not the most expensive brush set! The quality of the brushes for the price you are paying is amazing!

This is an overview of the brush set with the belt. I wish mine were as clean as that at the moment! :P All the brushes have very long handles which makes it much easier to apply makeup. All these brushes have multiple roles and there is a brush to fit every purpose you can think of!

Jumbo Fan - FB 01
This brush is definitely one of my favourites in the kit! I have never seen a Fan brush as dense as this one. I use this constantly throughout my makeup routine to sweep any excess powder off my face. This brush has never yet shed. Overall, This is a great brush!

Flat Top Buffer - FB 07
Please excuse the makeup on this brush :p My brushes are due a clean! For awhile, I had been using my mac stippling brush and absolutely hated it so the minute this set arrived at my door i could not wait to try out this brush! This is an amazing buffer brush! I did expect this to be a little more dense, but it still does its job perfectly! It has not yet shed. It gives that airbrush finish. This is my go to foundation brush at the moment!

Dome Contour - FB 05
This is definitely my absolute favourite brush in this kit! I did not expect the head of this brush to be as small as it is but it worked out for the better! It fits perfect into the hallows of my cheeks. This brush is defiantly the best contour brush i have ever tried! Amazing brush, I could not fault it!

Tulip Contour - FB 03
This brush is my least favourite out of the kit. I am in love with my mac tulip brush and i just don't think this brush lives up to my mac one. The quality isn't as good!

Flat Synthetic - EB 11
This brush is another love of mine! I use this to apply my concealer and it is honestly the best concealer brush i have ever tried! It puts on my concealer perfectly and does not shed. This brush can also be used to apply eyeshadow- both cream and powder.

Synthetic Blender - EB 13
I love using this brush to apply darker shadows to the outter corner of my lid. I also use this brush for applying shadows into my crease. This brush is very dense giving you a better application and making it a good brush for blending!

Bent Liner - EB 19
I have not yet had the chance to try out this brush but i cant wait to use it on other people because it will be so much easier since this brush is bent. This will be a great brush for creating that famous wing when doing a smokey eye!

Brow Spoolie Duo - EB 17
I absolutely love this brush for filling in my brows. The angled brush side has stiff bristles making it easier for you to apply colour to your brows. The spoolie is perfecting for shaping your brows or removing any excess colour  after you have filled them in!

Angled Detail - EB 23
I have not yet properly had the chance to use this brush. When i am doing makeup for people i sometimes get asked to use a very light eyeliner so rather then using eyeliner i would use eyeshadow mixed with water. This brush will be perfect for applying that type of eyeliner to the lid.

Pointed Crease - EB 15
This brush is another favourite of mine. This brush makes applying the darkest of colours into your lid so easy! The tip of this brush is pointed and fits perfectly into the crease. I absolutely love this brush and it has definitely become a must have of mine!

Universal Blender- EB 09
This brush has so many different uses! I have used this brush applying colour to my lid, crease, outter lid and for blending. This brush does not shed. Overall, This is a great eye brush!

Detailed shader - EB 21
This brush is perfect for applying colour to your lid or browbone. Its a very small brush which makes it easier to apply shadow into certain areas without messing up or smudging another!

Capped Lip Brush - LB 25
Last but not least, The lip brush :P I have not yet had the chance to use this brush but i know by looking at it and by the quality of this brush it is going to be one of the better lip brushes i have tried!

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. If any of you would like to purchase these brushes from the Sedona Lace website you can use my promo code 'SUZANNA' , just enter the code into the promo box during checkout and you will get $4 off your purchase. Talk to you all in my next post!
